In Easy mode, only one three letter word is presented at a time, allowing for a gradual introduction of sight words. The words move slowly to accommodate beginners.

Hard mode ramps up the difficulty by starting with two words and allowing for a maximum of five words on the screen. The speed of word movement and rotation also increases in this mode.

One notable aspect of Reading Ninja is its forgiving approach to wrong answers. Mistakes do not disrupt gameplay, as children can promptly attempt again and slice the correct answer without interruption.

The app also offers the flexibility of playing the three letter words in alphabetical order or randomized, catering to individual learning preferences.

For tailored learning experiences, parents can adjust the app's settings to enable or disable entire categories or individual words. Additionally, it is possible to record personalized audio for each three letter word, allowing for further customization.
